Ethical Scenarios
This collection of ethical scenarios has been developed to support good AI governance and responsible decision-making across schools, TAFE, and higher education. Accessible via the drop-down menu in the taskbar, the scenarios are designed to help educators, students, and researchers critically engage with the ethical challenges emerging from the use of artificial intelligence in education.
Each scenario prompts reflection on issues such as consent, bias, surveillance, data privacy, and the integrity of teaching and learning environments. Some scenarios are designed for teachers to use in the classroom, others support student-led inquiry, and several are tailored specifically for higher education and HDR contexts. Some scenarios are grounded in current policy frameworks and all aim to support ethical awareness, inclusive practice, and proactive risk management.
